Nest Cam routine

Good morning.

I have a battery-powered Nest Cam and a Samsung S25 Ultra.

I reinstalled the camera and set up the "Home" and "Away" routines, which I see work properly when I leave and return home from work. The problem is that the camera doesn't turn on or off; the routine activates, but the camera's status doesn't change.

Can anyone help me?

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand you're having an issue where your Nest Camera (battery) isn't changing its status (turning on or off) when your Home and Away routines are properly activating on your Samsung S25 Ultra. I'm happy to assist you.

To better understand the reason for the issue, please provide the information requested below:

  • Since you mentioned having reinstalled the camera, does it mean it was set up before and the Home and Away routines used to work properly?
  • Did you upgrade your phone or is it the same one you were using before the issue started?
  • Is the camera set up in the same home structure as before?
  • Are you able to see the previous routine setup before removing the camera?
