Nest Hello Doorbell

Hello,

I purchased the Nest Hello wired doorbell and the inside chimes are not working.  I have tried SEVERAl times to contact Google and they just do not respond.  You can only reach them by chat.  Any existing phone number is no longer in service.  They just leave you on hold on chat saying you are 1-2 minutes from having a chat and then NEVER got on to chat with you.  I'm so frustrated.  This is the second doorbell and I figured the "puck" was defective on the first doorbell but I am having the same problem of the inside chimes not ringing.  They work when the Nest doorbell is not connected but as soon as it is installed with or without the "puck" it does not work.  We have changed the transformer to the one stated and made sure the settings on the Nest app on both of our phones are set to ring on inside chimes and the mechanical setting is on.  Quite frankly, I am consulting an electrician this week and then I am likely returning it.  I was really excited as I have Nest cameras and I subscribe to the Nest app and have no desire to pay for another subscription for a doorbell!  I have always found Nest to be a great product.  I am absolutely stunned how lousy this doorbell seems to be and the fact that there is literally no one for customer service to help out!  Apparently, Ring has a customer service telephone line - thoroughly disappointed.  If anyone has ANY ideas as to what I need to do, please let me know!  🙂

I’ve seen others mention similar chime issues with the puck setup. Sometimes it's the wiring or compatibility with certain transformers. Hopefully the electrician can pinpoint it! Would love to hear what you find out.

This is the only way I know of to contact Support:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.
