The Google Nest issues caused severe communication issues with the HVAC system. I have two and have replaced the second one due to connectivity issues with the system and the WIFI connection. The thermostats are identical, yet one has had issues since the first purchase. It creates its schedule despite me deleting it and shutting down the eco consistently.
We have a zone HVAC system. A few months after installing the replacement thermostat from Google, the WIFI again doesn't stay connected and now the zoning board has gone out causing damage to the dappers. All of which Home Warranty companies do not want to cover.
Per the HVAC techs these thermostats are the worse and cause more damage than good because they are not compatible with most HVAC systems. As expensive as these systems are they should not cause this amount of damage.
