Hello, I had an electrician install and hard wire my Nest Cam with floodlight, The camera works but the floodlights don’t light up. Customer support told me to have an electrician check the wiring. Question: Is it possible for the floodlight wiring to be wrong if the device is providing power to the camera? Thank you!

The floodlight camera has a battery and can run on battery power if power is turned off or not connected to the fixture. (We have had the Google Nest Battery Camera" version for 3 years, plugged in with the optional power cable. If your fixture is connected to power and you go to Settings | Battery, it should say "Plugged in" with an infinity symbol.
There is a power cable for the camera in the floodlight fixture, but otherwise the camera is entirely separate from the floodlights, so the floodlights could fail without the battery failing.
