Nest hub and hub max app launcher missing

I'm in the UK,  and brought  nest hub and a hub max brand new from Google,  both originally had the app launcher installed  with netflix,  Spotify and disney +   and many other apps when swiping up.

After having to reset them both due to a home app issue both have now lost the app launcher, I have tried many resets now and setting changes  but still the same, any help on what to do ?

That isn’t the experience we want you to have ― question: where and when did you buy your Nest displays? When you mentioned a reset, was it the same steps as what you see in this link? If you bought it from the US then those apps should be available, but since you’re now in the UK, it may or may not work because the feature is not yet fully rolled out for other countries except the US. It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot and see if they show up: 

 

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes tops.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Hi Dan 

I purchaed my hubs from the google UK store online brand new about a month ago  , I have  reset the app and the hubs as described above and by holding the volume up and down at the same time. I am not 100% sure  but I vaguely remember the initial default address the first time i set up the hubs having a US address, I'm guessing that might be the issue then if your saying its not rolled out in the UK.

If i was to reset the hubs again and put a US address would that work and bring the apps back ?

While Apps on Nest displays are only available in the US, we can't guarantee that it will show on your device if you change your phone and Google Assistant's language to ENG-US. We don't have any news to share on when it will be available in other regions but we're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback.
