Nest hub display remains black when the doorbell rings

Hi there,

I just got the Google nest doorbell (battery) and the google nest hub. I installed both devices according to the instructions and added them to the google home app. However, when the doorbell rings, I only get voice notifications to the google nest hub, while its display remains black. What should I do to fix this?

I’m sorry for the delay. No worries, we’ll check this out. When did the issue start? Are both your Nest Doorbell (battery) and Nest Hub paired on the same home structure in your Google Home app?

Give these steps a try:

1. Open the Google Home app .
2. Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap another account or Add another account.
3. Verify that the home listed is the one you want to pair your security camera to. To switch between homes, click the triangle to the right of the home name.
4. At the top left, tap Add > Set up device > Works with Google.
5. Choose your camera manufacturer from the list to finish the setup process.
