Nest thermostat can't set hold temp to 90 degrees F

I have 2 Nest thermostats in a home in the desert. I'm told most people set their "away" temperatures to 90F to keep the electricity costs down on the A/C.

When I follow the instructions to set temperature "indefinitely", which must be done as a "hold" in ECO mode, the temperature automatically reverts to 82F.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this just a limitation of the Nest thermostat? Finally, is there any way to set the thermostats to 90F without having to go into my Google Home app 3 or 4 times a day to adjust the temp to 90F?

Thanks!
