Nest youtube music issue

joelthrum
Community Member

Trying to get my speakers to play a playlist at a certain time with no luck. After fiddling I realised I can't get them to play any playlist I want at all, just plays a random playlist similar to mine, doesn't matter if I say it or it's typed in and saved

I even tried making a playlist with an obscure name but it just gave me an error when it went to start. The playlists are all public and I have yt Premium.

Have done factory resets on them thinking it could have been a reason but no.

Personal results are on

Any ideas?

Hi @joelthrum,

Thank you for your timely post and the comprehensive information you've provided. I understand that you are encountering some music issues on Youtube when you use your speaker. I'm here to help you and find a solution together.

To assist you further, please attempt the following questions:

  • Were there any recent changes to your environment, such as a change in Wi-Fi network or relocation of the device?
  • Have you experienced any power outages in your area?
  • Have you tried connecting your speaker to a different power source?
  • May I know the model of your smartphone?
  • Are both your Google Home app and smartphone operating system up-to-date?
  • Do you use the same email address in your Google Home app as you do on YouTube?
  • What was the voice command you used to play the desired audio content?
  • What is your speaker's model?
  • Do you use the Google Home app for any routines?
  • When you play music on YouTube, what error message appears?

In the meantime, you can follow these articles:

  • For your playlist, you can check out additional voice commands for music: Listen to media.

Please keep me posted.

Warm regards,

Jeremy.
