My Google Home has been working well for me, but it recently stopped making sound. I can issue commands to it and it will turn on lights and other things, but no sound comes from the speaker. Its not muted, I have rebooted it several times, and I even did a factory reset. I'm assuming the speaker portion is now dead, but wanted to see if there might be something I can still try?

Hi Amitpa3286,
That’s odd! Let’s further look into it. I wanted to verify: is it happening to all voice commands you ask your Google Home, or only when trying to control smart devices? i.e., “Hey Google, what time is it?”. Also, what version of Google Home device do you have, and how did you do the factory reset?
Regards,
Alex

So it is responding to command but no response sound. So if I am far and giving some instruction so I will not get to know whether it's taking instructions or no

Hello Amitpa3286,
I wanted to make sure that we were on the same page. The sound before and after you say “Hey Google” is like this: “Hey Google” (chime). What time is it? (chime)—is this what you are referring to? Or the Google Assistant response when controlling smart devices? For the latter part, you may want to check out this article. This happens if you are controlling devices within the same room (in the Google Home app) as the Google Home device.
Warmly,
Alex
