Nest outdoor camera keeps going offline. I called my internet provider and everything is fine. Is this something on Google side?

Hey folks,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I’d be happy to help you with the Nest cameras. Let’s check it out.

A few questions: what model of Nest cameras do you have? What is the color of the status light? Are the cameras in the Google Home or Nest app?

If you have done so already, check out this guide to help you fix Nest camera or doorbell Wi-Fi connection issues.

Keep me posted.

Best,

Lance

Hi thxs for msg me back . Their nest IQ, cameras outdoor and the indicator light is green I'm using both apps, Google home and nest app but other people having the same issue of the cameras going offline.

It's a wired Nest without flood lights...not the newest gen.  It required me to set it up using the Nest app, then I was able to hook it into the Home app to see it along with my other products (thermostat, doorbell, other cameras.)

So, the maintenance of this camera is in Nest, but the notifications are coming from Home even though I have unchecked that particular notification.  The light is green; it's on and working just fine.  There is no connection issue.  The problem is with the unending notifications.

No flood light just the IQ outdoor camera I'm using the home Google app and have the nest app but it keeps going offline. Anybody else having these problems

It's a wired outdoor camera

Well that’s the thing….mine is NOT actually going offline, or if it is, it’s a negligible event, a blip. But these notifications are killing me.

Hi everyone,

I appreciate your responses. We’ve recently resolved an issue with device offline notifications, specifically with cameras in the Google Home app. To make sure everything is up-to-date, please follow the steps below:

  1. Check for any updates for the Home app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Check for any iOS or Android system updates and install them if there are any.
  3. Uninstall the Home app, restart your mobile device, and then reinstall the Home app.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Lance
