Pixel Tablet Not Working With Google Doorbell Properly

Does anyone know if the Google pixel tablet works with the Google doorbell the same as a nest hub? It’s connected but only gets notifications like a mobile when someone presses the doorbell. No option to use the tablet as an indoor chime or showing the doorbell camera automatically like a nest hub would. May be an over site by the developers as it’s meant to be the same as a nest hub once docked. Thanks ✌🏼

The Pixel tablet receives notifications like your phone. It doesn't replicate the Hub as far as the camera view or chime. I have both devices as well and I do hope these features can be added in the future.

Hi Emerson,

Are google looking at doing a software update where the tablet can be used as more of a home hub like it is advertised as? Even the Google rep I spoke to at our local store was surprised it didn’t work with the Google doorbell like the hub’s do.
