Presence Sensing - 2 homes on app

I have the Google Home app on my Phone 12+ and have 2 homes set up. On the first home presence detection works fine. On the second home, on the settings menu Presence Sensing does not appear. I have set up automations and turned the phone off and on again but still presence sensing does not appear. Location permissions for the app are always on.

It appears that the app will not allow presence sensing for the same user in 2 separate homes, is that right or is there a workaround?

  • Are you the owner of the second home, or do you have access as a family member?
  • What Google devices are in your second home?
  • Has the presence sensing option never appeared in your second home? If not, when did it stop appearing?
  • Have you tried logging into the Google Home app on another mobile device to see if the option is available there?

many thanks for coming back to me,

the second home is on my own Google Home profile 

the presence sensing option has never featured on GH

we have a nest speaker, chromecast 2 and hive app linked

  • Aside from yourself, are there other authorized accounts for the second home?
  • Regarding my first post, have you verified if the "presence sensing" option is visible using another mobile device?
