My Google nest mini (2nd gen) will randomly speak out and say "there was a glitch, try again in a few seconds." I am not speaking to it when it happens - in fact, it happens when I'm trying to sleep most of the time, which really freaks me out - and I can't figure out what is "triggering" it. We have other devices in the home, but no one is using them when this happens. This is not only really annoying, but it's also unnerving to hear your google nest randomly say there was an error at two in the morning. Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas?

I’ve had something similar happen with my Nest Mini too—it’s super weird, especially at night. From what I’ve read, it might be picking up random sounds or a nearby device could be triggering it unintentionally. You could try turning off "Hey Google" detection during the night or doing a factory reset if it keeps happening. Hope it gets sorted soon!

At first I thought it was a Wi-Fi issue, but when you said a speaker would do this without human interaction then it sounds more serious.
It could still be a Wi-Fi issue if that speaker is involved in an automation like an announcement that was supposed to go off or a notification that couldn't be sent because of the Wi-Fi is not connected at that particular time.
Try a reboot first and then a factory reset of affected speakers if the reboot doesn't help.
