Phone as device

I recently purchased a Google speaker but I do not have the nest just the speaker and I'm trying to set up a routine on my phone but the phone does not show up anywhere in devices. So the routine I'm trying to set up is to wear when my alarm goes off in the morning it does a Google routine so I went under the clock and tried it that way but I want to edit what's there and I can't edit the routine because the phone and the phone's alarm is not showing up in the Google Home app I hope this makes sense I made sure that they are both connected to the same account and Wi-Fi. Basically I want to edit a routine that's added under the clock I don't want it to play the news and it doesn't give me an option to delete that.

Your phone will not show up as a device in the Google Home app. 

• If the Alarm is to go off on your phone then you'll need the Google Clock app. (It could already be installed if you have an Android phone)

• If the Alarm is to sound off on the Google speaker then the Automation is located in Personal > When an Alarm is dismissed.
