Presence Sensing

I recently went on vacation and when I came home presense sensing doesn't seem to be working.  I used to arrive home and my lights but turn on automatically and 15 minutes later indoor cameras would be turned off as well as lights. Now that home automation routine will not run and the default home presence routine does not have all the same features such as delay starts to wait the 15 minutes before turning off cameras and lights when I arrive. In the default home routine, I cannot use presence sensing as a starter to start this routine either.

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I understand that you've been experiencing issues with Presence Sensing and Routines since you returned from your vacation. Let me help you find a solution!

Before we move forward, I need some information:

  • Do you have location permissions enabled on your phone?
  • What is the make and model of your mobile device?
  • What is the Android or iOS version of your phone?
  • Is your app up to date?
  • Are you using Google Nest devices or third-party devices?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps? If so, could you please list them?
