My Nest thermostat showed a rain drop icon on it. As I understand it's for humidity. Does it turn off itself? I have been living with it for about 9 months and never saw it before and now it wont go away even though Humidity levels are within the recommended range. Please help!

Hi KJHimself,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

I understand that your Nest Thermostat is currently displaying the Raindrop icon (which you understand represents humidity), but it will not go away, even though your humidity levels appear to be within the recommended range. You're trying to figure out how to make this icon disappear. I'm happy to help you troubleshoot why your thermostat believes it needs to display that humidity warning.

Before we start troubleshooting further, I need to ask you a few questions:

  • Could you please confirm what Nest Thermostat model you have? For your reference, you can check out this article on How to tell which Nest Thermostat you have.
  • What country are you located in?
  • Besides this information, I would appreciate it if you could post a picture here of your Nest Thermostat showing the raindrop icon.

Please reply with the requested information so we can continue troubleshooting and find a solution.

Best regards,

Virna
