Removing home/s from home page

Dougbu
Community Member

Have a nest thermostat and have a home another home and a house showing on the nest app.  All have the same address and nothing else.  I only have one house and one thermostat.  How do I remove two of these?  Also, I set up the thermostat up a couple months back to come on and go off at certain times, now I can’t find this info and nothing shows up on the settings on how to change it.  I can’t even see a temp.  Where is all of this?  Please help.  I have a useless thermostat at the moment!

@Dougbu

These are Google Nest's instructions for removing a Google Nest "home/structure". You first want to make sure you have no Google Nest devices in the home(s) you're deleting. You should be able to do that by selecting the "home" in the Google Nest app and Google Home app, and see if any devices are shown.

Jake, MplsCustomer's assistance solved my issue and I responded that information, but only God and some internet ethos knows where it went... My only other question, which was part of my response, is can I loose the Nest app and just keep the Google home or do I need to keep both even thought the nest app doesn't allow me to do squat?

Hello there,

I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Thanks for assisting, @MplsCustomer and Jake.

@Dougbu, Thanks for the update on how you were able to resolve your issue. If you have the Nest Learning Thermostat or the Nest Thermostat E, keep the Nest app as it is their primary app. But you can also use the Google Home app if it pertains to managing homes, inviting members, etc.

Please let us know if you have any further questions; otherwise, we'll close the thread in 24 hours.

Regards,

Mark

I have other questions!  I don't have time at this moment to respond nor will I in the next 48 to 72 hours.  I prefer that this not be closed but delayed closing until I have time to ask these questions.  Sorry I'm not a tech geek, nor is the war department, but her phone works the nest app and my won't, as a hint of the problem/s.
