If I sign up for the 60 day subscription and pay retrospectively can I then access my past 60 days of video data?

Google Nest does not keep history beyond the limits of our Nest Aware subscriptions. "All video history is deleted on a rolling basis. This means that, depending on the Nest Aware subscription you have, older saved video is deleted from the cloud after a certain number of days.": https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9681538?hl=en. In fact, it might even be illegal for Google Nest to retain history beyond what we've authorized them to save in our subscriptions.

So, your video history will start at the time you purchase a Nest Aware subscription. For example, "If you have Nest Aware and upgrade to Nest Aware Plus, your 10 days of 24/7 history and 60 days of event video history will start when you purchase your new subscription." And there is no option to pay retroactively in order to obtain past history; it's not there if there is no subscription in effect.  To do otherwise would require Google Nest to always be saving our history without our permission.

Hi there,

Just checking in to see how the conversation is going. User MplsCustomer is correct, we do not keep video history beyond the 60 days. It is all automatically deleted off cloud services. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Best regards,

Brad
