Schedule not working

I purchased the Nest thermostat Gen 4

I put the temp for SAT and Sun to go off at 10am to 65 degrees from 69 at the morning. It is to remain at 65 degrees till 3pm. Yet after 10am it still comes on at 69 degrees.

Hi @osiris1029,

Thank you for posting in the community. I’m sorry to hear that your Google Nest Learning Thermostat (4th Gen) is having issues with its schedule, specifically that it isn't changing to 65°F at 10:00 AM on weekends as programmed. I'm happy to assist you.

To further assist you, could you please provide the following information:

  • When did this issue first start?
  • Could you share a picture of your schedule settings for Saturday and Sunday?
  • Have you tried deleting and recreating the schedule slots for those specific days?
  • Do you have Home/Away Assist active?
  • Are you using a basic schedule, or is "auto-schedule" enabled in your settings?

I look forward to your response so we can get this resolved for you.

Best regards,

Brian

Here's a few screen shots. So my main issue is that the thermostat comes on to 69 degrees at 4am and not 530am as programmed. It should stay at 65 degrees from 10pm to 530am the next morning.https://photos.app.goo.gl/mVUqG7vANFFHFobeA

Hi @osiris1029,

Thanks for your response. To better assist you, could you please provide answers to the questions I asked in my first post? This will help me to better understand the situation and provide the correct troubleshooting steps for your problem. Additionally, could you please try sharing the photo of your schedules again by following these steps:

  • Create a Folder: On your computer or mobile device, go to drive.google.com and create a new folder. You can name it something simple, like "My Nest Issues" or the name of your device.
  • Add Your Files: Upload the video and photo files into this new folder.
  • Get a Shareable Link:
  • Right-click on the folder you just created.
  • Click Share > Share.
Under "General access," change the setting from "Restricted" to "Anyone with the link."
Make sure the access level is set to "Viewer" so that we can see the files but not edit them.
  • Click Copy link.
  • Paste the Link: Paste the link into your next reply.
  • Please ensure that no personal or sensitive information is visible in the photos or videos you share.

I'll be waiting for your reply.

Best regards,

Hi @osiris1029,

Thanks for your response and for providing the picture. Regarding the issue where your thermostat turns on at 69 degrees at 4:00 AM instead of 5:30 AM and is not following your schedule: Since we haven't confirmed yet if these steps have been performed, could you please help us by completing the following:

  1. Recreate your schedule: Try deleting and recreating the schedule slots for those specific days. You can manage your schedules through the Google Home app by following the instructions in this article: Temperature schedules for the Nest thermostat.
  2. Disable Auto-Schedule: Try disabling the Auto-Schedule feature on your thermostat. To do this, follow these steps:
  • Open the Home app > tap the name of your Nest Thermostat.
  • Tap Settings (gear icon) > Temperature preferences.
  • Under Nest Sense, tap Auto-Schedule and toggle it Off.
  1. Factory Reset: If the issue persists, please perform a factory reset on your thermostat. To complete this process, you can follow the steps in this helpful link: Restart or reset a Nest thermostat.

I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Brian
