Scrambled screen nest thermostat

Hello, can anyone help. 

The screen on my nest thermostat was flickering and going liney a few weeks ago intermittently but now the screen is so scrambled you can see what's going on.

Uh oh! Thanks for letting us know about the broken Nest Thermostat screen display. I'd love to know more about this.

Could you provide more details about what happened? Were there any instances where the thermostat display fell off from its base or bumped into it? Also, try to press and hold the screen for 10 seconds until it shuts down to restart, and let us know how it goes.

I have tried shutting down as suggested but screen just comes back in white and nothing
