I have several Google Nest speakers set-up in the home. All these speakers are linked with one account. And while that was perfect for when my children where younger, now they are hitting puberty their requirements and mine have changed.
My requirements:
- the speakers in the room of my children should be controlled by their account,
- the speakers in the room of my children should have their Spotify-account (it's part of a Family-account),
- all speakers should be able to broadcast a broadcast message done from the other speakers,
- all speakers should be able to be controlled by my Home Assistant installation.
Whenever I try add the speaker to my child's account. I have to ask for permission to add my child to the home and when I ask for permission I get the message that I don't have permission; a sort of infinite loop occurs, I have to ask for permission, but can't ask for permission because I don't have permission.
When I try to add my child to my home, I'll get a message that I can't invite my child to become a member of my home, but I can add it to my smartdisplays and -speakers with parental control; the displayed option "add to device" doesn't work.
When I go to the device I don't see an option to add my child to that device. I also can't find the parental control.
I'm using the Dutch version of Google Home btw.
Any help figuring out the maze that's called Google Home would be appreciated.
