Hi guys,

This is day 2 of not tracking my sleep and I don’t know what I’m doing currently wrong.

My setup a bit lower than my bed. I have calibrated it 2 times in a row just to be sure but I’m sitting here mid-night and no sleep is detected, maybe in the morning it will display but as far as I know you need to see something of the trackingsprocess.

not sure what is the issue, yesterday I had the level on the same altidulex but no sleep. When I’m starting to go to bed I see sleep sense is starting be active. If I leave for a pee this dissapeares and comes again when I sit down again. But no sleep. Help?!

Hi Logilinkr

Thank you for reaching out to our community.

I'm sorry to hear that the sleep sensor isn't tracking your sleep and that you're still experiencing inconvenience despite having calibrated it twice. No worries; it would be my pleasure to help you.

To provide you with better assistance, please answer the following questions:

  • Is the Google Home app up-to-date?
  • What have you done to resolve this inconvenience?
  • Have you experienced any power outages in your area recently?
  • Have there been any recent changes to your Wi-Fi network or home environment?
  • Are your personal results turned on?
  • Are there any fans, curtains, cats, or other people in the room that could interfere between you and the display screen?
  • Is your sleep summary available on your Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen) or only on the Google Fit app?
  • Do your Sleep Sense cards appear on the Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen) display?
  • Is your Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen) recording any snores and coughs?
  • What is the height distance between your mattress and the Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen)?
  • Is your Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen) oriented to your torso when you are lying in bed?

Thanks for your kind attention; I will be looking forward to your answer.

Best regards,

Virna

It sounds like you’re experiencing issues with your sleep tracking setup, and there are a few areas worth troubleshooting to get to the root of the problem. Here are some suggestions:

  1. Placement Matters: Since your tracker is slightly lower than your bed, it might not be positioned correctly to pick up your movements accurately. Try adjusting its placement to be level with your mattress and centered where your torso typically rests during sleep.

  2. Calibration Accuracy: While you've calibrated twice, ensure the calibration process was done precisely as instructed. Some devices are sensitive to how they’re set up initially, and any deviations during calibration could affect tracking.

  3. Environmental Factors: Check for potential disruptions, such as electronic interference or other objects between the tracker and your bed. Some sleep trackers may also struggle with bedding materials that block sensors.

  4. Sleep Tracking Logic: Many devices start detecting sleep based on patterns like heart rate, motion, and prolonged inactivity. If you’re getting up during the night, it might disrupt this process. Try staying in bed longer without interruptions to see if it picks up your sleep later.

  5. Firmware and App Updates: Ensure that the device firmware and the accompanying app are fully up to date. Bugs in older software versions can lead to issues like this.

  6. Contact Support: If none of the above resolves the issue, it might be a hardware or software problem. Reach out to the manufacturer’s support team with detailed descriptions (like you’ve done here) to get targeted assistance.

It sounds like you've taken good steps with recalibrating and observing the device, but here are a few things to try: Make sure the device is positioned correctly as even small shifts can affect tracking. Check for any environmental factors like noise or pets that might interfere. Resetting the device and checking for firmware updates can also help. Additionally, ensure the sensor detects subtle movements like breathing. Sometimes, sleep data is processed overnight, so try checking the results in the morning. Just like Estes freight tracking, ensuring everything is aligned correctly can help get accurate results. If the issue persists, consider reaching out to support for further assistance.
