Sudden incorrect response

PowerView blinds have worked for three years as controlled by a Google mini, via voice command. No changes to any settings. Starting last week I get the attached as a response (voice and also typed into assistant to illustrate the problem). Stopping “arc den” instead of closing blinds. It is consistent and wrong. Any fixes?

Hi @582khr!

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that your PowerView blinds are no longer responding correctly to Google Assistant voice commands, both through the Google Mini and typed, specifically interpreting 'close blinds' as 'stop arc den.' I'm happy to help you!

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

  • Just to be sure, could you check the Google Mini model you own? Here's an article that will help you identify it: Google Nest speakers and displays.
  • Is the Google Home app up to date?
  • Can you still control your PowerView blinds using the manufacturer's app directly (not through Google Assistant)?
  • Have you tried any other voice commands for your blinds besides "close the blinds"? For example, "open blinds," "set blinds to 50%," or trigger any specific PowerView scenes you might have set up. Do these work as expected, or do they also get misinterpreted?
  • Have you ever named any device, room, or routine "Arc Den" in your Google Home app?
  • Have you tried restarting your Google Mini and PowerView Hub (if you have one)? Or performed any other troubleshooting steps?

Please keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.

Best regards,
Geremi
