Hi,
I have a smart switch that controls my bathroom fan, and a smart light in my bathroom. Due to my electrician messing things up, my bathroom fan doesn't stay on for a few minutes, despite having timer functionality.
I had resolved this thanks to a google home automation routine. Trigger was bathroom light switching off, and the bespoke command was "turn off the bathroom fan in 2 minutes". This was working like a charm till a few weeks back.
Now since last couple of weeks, the automation has stopped working. Whenever I switch off the bathroom light, I get an error on my phone that says:
Sorry, because of potential risk to safety, I can't schedule actions for devices configured as switches
The same command works absolutely fine if I manually say it. It has just stopped working in automation. Any ideas or suggestions please?

I get this too with a switch in my bathroom controlling my fan. I had a routine that when triggered would turn off the fan in 30 min, now I just get this error.

I have the problem when saying it to a Google home speaker. The display works

Hi folks,
Thanks for the details you all shared. To help the team further look into this, please send feedback and include the keywords “GHT3 unable to control plugs for scheduled actions." See the article below on how to do it.

Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing, this is currently only happening with switches not plugs. And specifically when it is referenced as a switch in Google Home.
I will send along feedback from my Google Home Mini (not working) and my Google Home Hub (working)

This is correct. The issue is with switches and not plugs.
I had shared the feedback with screenshots etc. when I raised the issue with nest support. But the support executive only sent me instructions to reset google home and the switch, that's it.

My display worked as well for a couple of days but now it is no longer working as well. Where is the Google support on this one?
