Thermostat is online but the app shows offline

My thermostat is online and it's hard wired but the app is showing offline and I am unable to control it from my phone. Please help.

@AnitaManna, I understand your situation with the connectivity issue you're experiencing with your Nest Thermostat. To troubleshoot this, let's try a few steps:

 

  1. Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is stable and that other devices can connect to it. If possible, try restarting your router.
  2. Restart your Nest Thermostat for a minute. This can help re-establish the connection.
  3. Make sure that your Nest app is up-to-date. If not, visit the app store on your device and update it.
  4. Sometimes re-logging into the Nest app can help. Log out and log back in with your credentials.
  5. Ensure that your thermostat is receiving power. Confirm that the hard-wired connection is secure.
  6. Ensure that your Nest account is in good standing. Sometimes account issues can cause connectivity problems.
  7. Check for any potential power issues in the settings.
