Hi everyone,
I’m helping manage a dermatologist’s clinic and website — mehdiiskandarli.com. We’re considering installing a Nest Cam in the waiting area mainly for security and visitor monitoring during off-hours.
Does anyone here have experience using Nest Cams in a clinic or small medical office? I’m especially curious about:
Privacy settings for clinics (we don’t record audio)
How to handle storage and remote access securely
Any integration options with Google Workspace or alert settings that work best in non-home environments
Would appreciate any tips or best practices!

Hi @Bobston,
Thanks for reaching out to the community. I understand you are considering installing Nest Cameras for a dermatology clinic. I'm happy to share more details with you.
If you don't want to record audio with your Nest Cam, you can turn off the microphone. You can follow these instructions to disable live or recorded Nest Camera audio.
To handle storage and remote access securely, we recommend the Nest Aware subscription.
At this moment, Nest Cameras do not have the option to integrate with Google Workspace or offer alert settings optimized for non-home environments.
Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.
Best regards,
Gabriela

Using a Nest Cam in a dermatology clinic can be helpful for monitoring patient flow, staff activity, or ensuring security, but privacy should always come first. Since the clinic deals with sensitive medical information, the camera should never be placed in exam or treatment rooms where patient consultations occur. Instead, it can be set up in public areas for cosmetic dentistry Albania such as the reception, hallways, or waiting room to maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
