Wired Nest Doorbell

I have just replaced my old Doorbell with Nest Wired  Doorbell Gen 2. Now I am using Google Home App. The Nest App used to send me alerts upon sensing a sound or person. I have lost that feature, sadly. Help search to learn how to activate alerts, proved useless. Any advice as I am almost tempted to return this and replace it with another brand?

In the Google Home app, you have to go to Settings for your doorbell, select Seen Events, and enable recording for People, and then enable Your Notifications for People. You can do this for each Activity Zone.

Unfortunately, the only sound notifications provided in the Google Home app for 2nd gen cameras and doorbells is for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.  This is one of many important Nest app features that are STILL missing in the Google Home app:
