when will smart buttons become compatible!? i’ve been waiting for years for this feature that’s available to all other smart home platforms

Do you have a smart button?

Does it get accepted into the Google Home app at all? 

I have a Nest Hub (2nd Gen) that has a thread border router and I'm hoping that Google accepts a Matter over Thread button and then I can share the button with Alexa to trigger Alexa routines.
