YI cameras not showing in Google Home

Hi

I have 5 YI home cameras in my house bought at different times. I have successfully added my YI account to Google home but it is only showing 3 of the 5 cameras in Google home. I have tried resetting and uninstalling / reinstalling the cameras but can't get them to show in Google home. The common denominator seems to be that the 2 cameras in question share the same firmware version (12.2.0.2_202212191129) whereas the other 3 are using different firmware. All the cameras are using the latest firmware for the respective model.

Any suggestions as to why they aren't showing in Google home and how I can rectify.

Hi Fatbob,

Thanks for posting—let's get this sorted out. Since you mention that the 2 cameras in question have a different firmware version than the 3 cameras working, it may have something to do with it. I suggest that you contact the manufacturer to check how you can get an update for the 2 cameras or if there’s anything you need to enable from their settings (on the native app) to make it work with Google Home.

I have 3 new yi iot cameras all of them are reading off line in the home app. I've contacted yi iot support everything is working on their end I can clearly see the cameras are operational in the yi iot app but still offline in Google home app. Yi iot support said the problem has to be with Google home. I've tried everything what do I do now?

Have the same issue, yi iot cameras show as offline in Google home although are operation with the yi iot/yi home apps
