Yale Nest Lock offline AND none of the passcodes are recognized! How to fix?

I thought this wasn't supposed to happen.  Previously, at times when the lock was offline, the codes were still recognized and the lock still worked so I could get in and out.  Eventually, it would get back online one way or another.

This time, batteries are fresh but when I punch in the code on the keypad (same code for years). it says code not recognized right now.  Does this mean it has reset somehow?

Hi dgbk26,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the trouble accessing your lock. Let’s see what’s going on — a few questions: how long has it been going on? Are the batteries standard AA alkaline? Also, what’s the status light of your lock?

Give these steps a try:

  • Take off the battery cover and remove the batteries from your lock. If you received a low battery alert, use a fresh set of standard AA batteries. Don't use rechargeable batteries with your lock.
  • Put the batteries back in after 60 seconds. Wait a few minutes to check if your lock comes back online.
  • Factory reset your lock.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

JT

It's me again. I want to make sure you're all good — did those steps work?
