I’m in the process of looking to migrate to Google Home.
From what I see it appears the zoom & enhance is currently not available in Google Home.
Can anyone from Google? Please explain why this function is taken away since you have the code to do it.
Did you decide that us as customers no longer need this?
I’ve been using Zoom. And enhance on all of my cameras for about 10 years and it is invaluable in using cam for yard security.

Do you have the new Gemini features in Home yet? That got turned on for me a few days ago, and may be why it works for me and not you.

Google just added the ability to move all the Nest cameras to Google home, including the Indoor and Outdoor IQ cameras.
Unfortunately, Zoom and Enhance was not included. Where I have my cameras placed, mounted to the brick of my house, zoom and enhance is required to get a decent video. Without it, the cameras are basically useless. I won’t ever be able to migrate all my cameras over with this feature missing. Extremely disappointing.

Yes I have been holding off migrating my Nest cams for the past 2 years due to lack of enhanced zoom; removal of ability to record all video not just their defined events; and lack of access to 4 colored activity zones.
it is confusing how such a large almost $Trillion company is completely ignoring us…

Pretty sure they will just abandon those features. Figure the cameras that offered it, with Nest, are older now and they are hoping less of those are out there being used. Since they haven’t offered it for new cameras in years, they will just keep it that way. All the new users, buying the cheaper cameras Google offers now, never had the features to miss…..and us…the ones that need them…can keep using Nest until it’s sunset, our our cameras break, or we just give up. But, we are the minority, and Google has shown they don’t put in work for the minority.

Interesting comment ...
Not sure why Google needs to drop this if it is possible in firmware or software...
Why do you think that they would just abandon it ... other than no action for 3 years ...
... they have had little action on Nest cams or on cams automation ...
we have the 4 defineable Activity Zones on our Nestcams running on Google Home app but no way to access them thru Google script automation ... the keyword for Activity Zones is missing ... so with your logic "NEST CAM ACTIVITY ZONES WILL B E GONE AS WELL"
ALONG WITH
1. RECORDING OF ALL HISTORY
2. SKIP FORWARD/BACK 15 SECONDS
3. PAUSE
4. TAGGING ALL EVENTS NOT JUST SOME
5. COMPUTER (INTEL OR MAC) ACCESS TO CAMS
6. LARGER SIZE OF PREVIEW OF CAMS ON NEST APP
7. DIRECT SHARING URL LINKS TO RECORDED EVENTS
8. SHARED ACCESS TO NEST CAMS
9. IMMEDIATE RATHER THAN DELAYED (LAG) ACCESS TO CAM HISTORY
10. TIMELAPSED CAM HISTORY RECORDINGS
Sadly, lots for GOOGLE to get rid of... while other Cam providers add functionality, Google seems to delete it...

I hope they don’t abandon it, but it’s been years and those items were not added. It’s also been years since those cameras that had those features were being sold. Less and less of them in the wild. Google could easily say there are only xx out there being used, only on Nest, so we are not doing anything else additional with them as far as adding the missing features.
They could just make the choice to upset a few and just move on. I hope not though, but it’s been a long time.

There lack of interest / progress this past 2-3 years on Google Home app / home automation is confusing. Perhaps they will drop it as well.

Sadly, Continued silence from Google Home on Nest cam futures

Hmmm,... Google ... is now asking weekly for me to move my Nest Cams from iOS Nest app to crippled Google Home app. ???
Sadly, I expect soon they will force us to move to their dysfunctional Google Home app.
I wouldn't be surprised if they just drop their current Cams completely as another failed experiment like their Nest Protect smoke detectors ...
Sadly, it also feels like they have a major hate on for Apple iOS as well.

That's odd; we never get asked. But we are NOT on the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app.

I am asked every time I look at one of my cameras. Always have to dismiss it. If some of the needed features, for me, were available I would move them over.
I also have 7 or 8 nest protects….

Oddly, when I migrated my Nest Cam IQ (indoor) that was zoom/enhanced in the Nest app, it stayed zoomed/enhanced in Google home. The problem with that is, I'd have to transfer it back to the Nest app to go back to the fully zoomed out view. WTF Google...

Dear Google,
I’d like the Zoom & Enhance feature added to the Google Home app please. I’m a minority and would like to be recognized if you all care about us.
Thanks

until enhanced zoom is available within Google home. I am staying in nest.

ann 100% access to 7x24 history. Google Home app only allows downloading of events identified by Google Home app Nest cam algorithm. This misses 10s of 1000s of events on my Nest cams and I cannot get at this history without doing a screen recording. this is so easy on Nest app on browser and Nest app on iPhone.

Sharing what I am experiencing.
I have 11 Nest Cameras, not including cameras on the 5 Nest Hub Max devices, I disabled those cameras as there was no night vision and the angle wasn’t ideal.
Up until today, the zoom and enhance was not available in the Google Home app for the same devices it was available on in the Nest app. Those devices were the Nest IQ cameras, 2016 (?) Nest Outdoor and the original Nest Hello. I don’t believe any other cameras (unless the new 2K ones can) had this ability.
I am on Apple devices, iPhone and iPad, and I am able to use zoom and enhance on my nest hello and all my IQ cameras in the Google Home app.
Not sure if this matters, but I am on the Google Home Preview, and I have Google Home Premium.
I had all my camera in the Google home app except my IQ cameras. Those were still in the nest app. My Nest Hello was in the Google home app, and when I saw the updates here, I tested zoom and enhance with the Hello and it worked. Once I confirmed it was working, I transferred one of my IQ cameras, and once transferred to the Google Home app, that too would allow zoom and enhance. So now transferred them all to Google home.
Hope this helps. Most of all, thank you Google/Nest for not abandoning this feature on the cameras with this ability.

This is very helpful. So the functionality appears to be in the Google Home app for iOS devices.
I have 4 Nest cams - 3 Outdoor 2016 & 1 Outdoor 2021. Neither is working for me on iOS devices. I am running Google Home Preview and Google Home Premium as well. I have tried my 2016s a few times on Google Home app But keep going back and will not move them until activity zone streams are available as I use them daily.
and the enhanced zoom which I also use daily.
I do have skip forward/back 10 seconds & pause in the scrubbing view which is a start.
