chrome cast suddenly not working with binge

So I was watching binge on my chromecast this arvo, went to work, came back and now it's not working

It connects fine, there are no issues there, but as soon as I click on something to watch it just gets stuck buffering or 'loading' and doesn't play at all. I've left it for half an hour and nothing.

I've uninstalled the app, I've logged out and in again, I've reset the internet, I've reset my tv, I've done a factory reset on the chrome cast and it still wont work. 

The last binge update was over a week ago so i really don't know whats going on 😞

Hi folks,

 

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. A few questions: what Chromecast device are you using? Did you get any messages? Is this happening only on this app or on all/multiple apps?

 

Give the steps below a try and let me know how it goes:

 

  • Perform a sequential reboot (Chromecast, router, and casting source if it's about casting).
  • If this is about casting, try with another device.
  • You can also try connecting it to a mobile hotspot to isolate it.
  • If it still persists on this app alone, contact the app developer.
