I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should, so let’s get this resolved. A few things: is it set up before or this is the first time that you are setting it up? What's the LED light status (solid or flashing white)? What messages does the TV display? Does it display Set me up? Are you using Android or iOS?
You can check if both the Location Services and Bluetooth are on. Try to connect to your Chromecast and see if this will make a difference. Check the steps below.
