I’ve been using iOS 26 for a few weeks and updated to the official release yesterday. Previously, when I received a notification, I could long-press it to watch the short clip without opening the app. Since updating, this feature no longer works on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Now, the preview only shows a static image that flashes like it’s trying to play but doesn’t. Google Home app is clearly broken with iOS 26.

It seems the Google Home app notification preview feature is broken under iOS 26. Others have reported the same behavior: static images replacing video previews.
