I’ve been using iOS 26 for a few weeks and just updated to the official release yesterday. Previously, when I got a notification, I could long-press it and see the short clip preview without opening the app. Since updating, that no longer works on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Now the preview shows only a static image that flashes like it’s trying to play but doesn’t.
It seems the Google Home app notification preview feature is broken under iOS 26. Others have reported the same behavior: static images replacing video previews.
