That's a typical Heat Pump setup. Yes, it'll work just fine.
B = Common
O = Reversing Valve (Toggles heating/cooling - Does not affect Emergency Heat source)
G = Indoor Blower
Y = Compressor
W = Emergency Heat
R = 24v (Hot - Be careful not to make contact with the other wires, doing so WILL blow a fuse OR short out a transformer - Recommended practice is to remove power before fondling any wires. )

@suzytaylor, thanks for your update. Nest thermostats are designed to work with most 24 V systems, even older systems. They work with all common fuel types including natural gas, oil, and electricity. The online Compatibility Checker has full instructions to check if your heating and cooling systems are compatible with Nest thermostats. Hit this link for more information.
