For several weeks, I have been experiencing an annoying bug where, when activating the bedtime routine on my Google Nest Hub, the assistant is unable to understand the time, repeatedly asking me to repeat the time. Here's a typical conversation:
"What time?" "At 6." "Okay, for what time?" "6." "Alright, for what time should I set the alarm?"
And so on indefinitely. The loop only stops with the "cancel" command.
Until now, I solved this by separately setting an alarm at the end of the routine with the command "set alarm for 6." However, for a few days, it seems that this function has also stopped working. Even though the assistant confirms the activation of the alarm at the chosen time during setup, the alarm does NOT actually go off at the selected time!
I have already tried restarting the device without success, and I confirm that the network connection is not an issue, as the connection is stable, and the Wi-Fi router is placed next to the Nest Hub.
Update: The bedtime routine has the same bug with the Assistant on my smartphone and on other Nest Minis in my home. However, the alarm function seems to work on my smartphone (using the native Samsung alarm app).
I use Italian as my language.

Hi franchiceddhu,
Thanks for reaching out. I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should. Let’s check out what’s going on. Have you tried the factory reset? This erases all your personalized settings and restores the factory default settings. It won’t automatically reconnect to WI-Fi, and you’ll need to set it up again.
Check out the article below to know more about it.
Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays

Hi, I've already tried it without success. Plus, as I mentioned, this doesn't affect only my Nest Hub but it happens on my Mini and on my smartphone as well.

I don't know if it helps anything, but I'm having the same issue. I've been using the alarm routine combined with the morning routine for years but suddenly the assistant keeps asking when to set the time.

Mine was doing that for weeks. I just reset it 6 or 7 times. It FINALLY will set an alarm, but it sets it 5 hours EARLIER than I ask. For example, I will tell it to "Set an alarm for 6:30 tomorrow" and it will reply "Alright, your alarm is set for tomorrow at 1:30 AM". Obviously someone screwed something up at Google.

@just curious if yours is an Insignia branded product with Google Home

Same problem here. I'm using Italian, and the bug occurs almost every time I try to set an alarm, regardless of whether it's a routine or just the standalone command. The assistant enters an endless loop in which he keeps on asking "OK, at what time should I set the alarm?" "At 8 o'clock" "All right, when the alarm should be set?" "At 8 o'clock" "OK, when should I set the alarm?" and it goes on and on and on, until you explicitly cancel or just stop answering. It's really annoing, considering the alarm is one of the most useful features of the assistant.

I'm Italian too, at the moment I am able to set the alarms by saying "otto zero zero" (eight zero zero) instead of plain "otto" (which translates to eight o'clock). Always saying minutes out loud ("otto e quindici") instead of using more common phrases ("otto e un quarto") helps a lot too.

Nice workaround, I'll try it next time! Anyway, I think there's clearly something wrong in the way italian time gets processed by the assistant. Hope they'll fix it soon.
