stuck forever on adding wifi point to wifi network

Hi all i hope in posting this in the right area. I have had  google nest 3 pack for 3 years now.  Lately with lots of drop outs. At least 5 dropouts a week. I decides to factory reset everything including my app and profile and start fresh.

I'm having a really frustrating issue when I connect the wifi point to the nest router and it gets to the end when it's adding it to the wifi network and just stays there for ever. Can anyone help this has beat me. 3 hours in I'm asking for help before I go buy a new system.

Hey everyone,

Thank you for your patience. This issue has been fixed alongside the release of Google Home app 3.29, all users should have received the update by now. If you're running a different version of the app, double check for updates in the Play Store and try restarting your device. If that doesn't fix the issue for you, please let us know in a comment below.

I’m on IPhone 15 pro max and cannot get google wifi 3 point mesh to connect to network, complete reset has been done and like above, it cycles what device you want to add, google wifi, and what device do you want to ad over and over.  Yep 3 hrs and frustrated as I am a network guy.

Nothing. I spoke to ISP and their answer was it’s google fault, spoke to Google said it was ISP fault.

It is supposed to be fixed provided you update Google Home to at least 3.29... have a look at my post here as well for how I fixed it using only version 3.28 at the time.

As a very loyal Google user and seller, I have eluctantly given up on Google mesh and now offer Amazon's Eero.  Performance is amazingly better and installation is easy and error free.  Google has apparently decided to abandon this market.

How do I return multiple units that either never worked (could not connect) or only worked intermittently?

Figured it out from my end and my problem seems to be due to having a previous google home associated with my account - which may not be relevant to other people.  The Nest Wifi Point was still (somehow) associated with our previous home.  Even though I had repeatedly factory reset the point.  Deleting the previous google home allowed the wifi point to be correctly added to the new home.   Took many months of head scratching and endless resets and reboots.
