Recently bought a nest hub 2nd generation and Spotify has been giving me hassle since day one of owning it. Anytime I go to open the application it’ll either play a song for 5 seconds then shut the application completely or just keep randomly pausing the song mid play. Trying to connect it through the “devices” section of my mobile phone or laptop doesn’t work either, loading the “connecting” but never actually connects! I’ve done a clean reinstall of both and restarted both devices which has done nothing. Any other suggestions on how to resolve this before I send it back? Cheers.

That certainly hasn't been easy for you — let me help you out.
Are you getting the same result when playing music via voice commands? Did you connect your device to a private home network? Have you tried resetting your device. If possible, could you try setting up your Google Nest Hub using a mobile hotspot to better isolate the issue?
