nest gen3 show up in Nest App but is broken on google home

Hey there, I just added the nest gen3 thermostat, and I used Nest App to pair with the device, all works fine. And I go to google home app, the device does show up, However, when I click into the device, the device page is blank with only a click box showing up, click anywhere doesn't response at all, and setting button would give me internal error message.

It's pretty strange that the Google Home app isn't displaying your Nest Gen 3 Thermostat correctly after pairing it. But don't worry, I can help!

 

You can try the following steps to get your thermostat working on the app as expected:

 

  • Uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app to check if you're running the latest version. Outdated versions might not sync properly.
  • Reboot your phone. A simple restart can often resolve app malfunctions.
  • Re-pair the thermostat. Remove the Nest thermostat from your Google Home app and pair it again. Doing so should rectify any communication issues.

Ensure the thermostat is in the same account as the one you use in the Google Home app.
