One of my second gen Nest Protects is chirping every minute. The app shows no issues. Safety checkup was fine. It’s only one year old and others purchased at the same time are not chirping so it seems unlikely it’s the batteries. Please advise. It’s driving me crazy

Maybe this will be of some help:

Thank you, but that doesn’t solve my issue. The app doesn’t indicate low batteries and the detectors themselves are not glowing or signaling any problems, aside from the steady chirping. Do I just have to put in new batteries and cross my fingers?

I don't know.

Hi folks,
Thanks for checking that for us. Let’s see what’s going on — a few questions: what’s the status light of your Protect? Was the battery tab removed? Are the batteries re-seated? Does the power turn on when you hold the Nest button for 30 seconds? Also, does it work with another set of Energizer L91 batteries?
Looking forward to your response.
I appreciate your help here, MplsCustomer.
Thanks,
JT
