Hi everyone,
I recently installed Nest Protect in my home and connected it with my Android phone. Overall, the setup was simple, but I’m still trying to understand how the notification system works and how reliable it is in daily use.
Sometimes I’m working on my computer for long periods, writing guides or researching things online, and I rely on my phone notifications to stay informed if something important happens at home. For example, when I’m preparing content for my website, I often keep my phone nearby while working on the PC.
My question is about how Nest Protect notifications behave on Android.
Do the alerts always come instantly, or can they sometimes be delayed depending on phone settings or background apps?
Also, are there any recommended settings to make sure critical alerts from Nest Protect are never missed?
I’d really appreciate hearing how other people here configured their notifications, or if you have any tips for making the system more reliable.
Thanks in advance for your help!
