Hi...all previous nest thermostats had early on (forced hot air) and true radiant (radiators). Both had options for max duration for how many hours the heating system would turn on to reach scheduled tempature at scheduled time.
With the new google home app true radiant only has a on/off toggle switch. There are no max duration options (start heating 1 hour, 2 hour. Etc.)
Also, i installed correctly and radiator and propane options were selected. Google home app selected early on and has max duration options. It did not engage radiant option.
It almost appears that early on is now used for both forced hot air and radiator systems and true radiant is more of a shut heating down early as to not overheat home. Throughly confused. Does any one know what is going on and can help. Thanks in advance if you can...mike

I understand that your main concern is that the absence of maximum duration settings for True Radiant mode makes precise scheduling difficult, which can lead to potential overheating issues. Let me help!

Actually what i want to know is why true radiant does not have max duration options the early on has and every other version of older nest software also had.

No it doesn't. And you never even attempted to answer my question. With all due respect, my attempt to get an answer to this question from 4 different reps has been the most incompetent I have ever witnessed from a major company. I returned the 3 thermostats and moved to ecobee thermostats. In three days, they are more accurate in schedule than the nest was after 7 weeks. I will never buy a nest thermostate again...
