No heat with new Nest 4th Gen Thermostat

Just installed a nest 4th gen thermostat to replace my existing Honeywell T6 Pro. I followed the Nest wiring instructions but I have no heat coming out of the vents when the nest is set to heat. I’ve tried to toggle the heat pump O/B wire in the nest settings but the heat seems to be non existent.

Below are pics of the original Honeywell wiring and the nest wiring.

Looking for any help/suggestions, Thanks!

When in heating mode, are you getting cool air instead? Meaning it's actually cooling instead? If so, you have to go back through your configuration and change the setting you set up for what the reversing valve does when o/b is energized. Basically switch it from cooling to heating.

Hello @St90

Thanks for bringing this concern to our attention and posting it in the community. I apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing with your Nest Thermostat when heating

Before troubleshooting, I would like to confirm some extra information:

  • Does the thermostat screen indicate that it’s actively calling for heating?
  • What type of furnace do you have? (gas, electric, etc.)
  • Did the heating work with the previous thermostat?
  • Did you turn the HVAC system off?
  • Did you select the correct fuel type?
  • Does the furnace activate while the fan doesn’t?

Once we have this information we can diagnose the issue and provide a solution.

Thanks,

Catheryn
