Can’t get it to get to temperature that I scheduled. Always warmer , for example 73 is 76! At night not during peak hours. Why?

Hi @1k,

Thank you for reaching out to our community! It appears that your Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) isn't maintaining the scheduled temperature, causing your home to be consistently warm, especially at night when it's not peak hours. I'm happy to assist you with this!

To better investigate what might be causing this, I’d like to ask for the following information:

  • When did the issue start?
  • Is this a new installation?
  • Do you see any error messages displayed on your thermostat or in the Google Home app?
  • Is the issue occurring in cooling mode only, or heating as well?
  • To confirm, are you enrolled in any energy-saving programs like Rush Hours or Nest Renew?

In the meantime, I'd suggest checking your Energy History to see if any features are causing these unexpected temperature changes. For reference, you can check out this article: Thermostat Energy History.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
