I have an AprilAire E100 Dehumidifier connected to my HVAC / 4th Gen Thermostat. I have my dehumidifier set to 50%. In the mornings the humidy is aroud 56% but the thermostat does not call to turn on (only in the mornings). After 10am the dehumidifier comes on. Why doesn't the stat call for dehumidifier in the mornings?

Hello @bryanhudson
Thanks for reaching out to our Nest Community. Im happy to help you with your dehumidifier readings and activation concerns.
Certainly this is not a normal patter on our Nest Learning Thermostat, For dehumidifiers, the Nest Learning Thermostat maintains a 6% humidity range of 1% above and 5% below the set humidity level. Example: If I have the Nest thermostat set to 40% humidity, the thermostat activates the dehumidifier when the humidity level reaches 41% and deactivates at 35% humidity; however, I will work to find a answer for this situation.
I would appreciate it if you could share with me more details about your HVAC and dehumidifier unit, like if it was installed in a single or two zone, or if is possible, a picture showing the wiring configuration for your unit.
With this more information, we can have a more clear answer for your situación.
Feel free to keep us posting. I'm here to help you.
Best Regards,
Douglas.

I have a AprilAire 100 dehumidifier controlled by my 4th Gen Google Stat. My target humidity is 50%, but the stat never reaches 50% (only 53%). The stat/dehumidifier only runs for 10mins because the default setting with the stat (something I don't have access to) stops so that the coils don't freeze up. This is an issue. I need the stat to run for 15 or 20 mins.
