Hi,
I recently moved to a new condo and want to upgrade from a Honeywell t8575d2003 thermostat to a Google nest learning thermostat but it has 9 wires. Is it compatible?

Hi @Carvin,
Thanks for reaching out to the community! Upgrading your thermostat is a great way to improve your comfort and potentially save energy.
While the Honeywell t8575d2003 model doesn't always work with the Google Nest Learning Thermostat due to its 9-wire setup, I can help you check for compatibility.
Here's the official Nest compatibility checker: link to the Nest compatibility checker. This tool will tell you if your specific wiring configuration works with the Nest Learning Thermostat.
Even if it's not compatible, there might be other Nest thermostats suitable for your system. The checker can help you explore those options as well.
If you have any questions after using the checker or need further assistance with the installation process, feel free to let me know.
All the best,
Jorge.

Hi Jorge,
I really am not good at understanding the wiring. I do have a picture of it if that helps, however I don't know how to upload it on here.

Hi @Carvin,
Thanks for replying! You're right; wiring specifics can be tricky. While I can't directly assess compatibility through a picture due to limitations here, I can offer another way to get help. Fill out this form to get a call back from our thermostat department.
You can share with them the picture you have, and they will be able to tell you if your Honeywell t8575d2003 thermostat is compatible with Nest Learning.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Regards,
Jorge.
