I have a seperate oil burner and Central AC unit. I have a nest thermostat that is heat and cool to run both. During the winter when my thermostat is set heat only my ac fan turns on sporadically. How can I stop this from happening

Hey Shappy53,

Thanks for posting here.

There are factors to check on why the fan turns on automatically. We could check your fan schedule and make some adjustments if necessary.

Check out this link for more details.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Ryan

Same happened to our thermostat. Just installed a Nest 3rd gen on Sunday. Ran fine for a few days. Then on day 5 we came home from work to the thermostat having switched from heat 68° to AC. The house was 54° and we are in a cold spell in Colorado. I checked the home app and the system has been on pretty much non stop for two days. Why would the AC come on when it’s cold outside and thermostat is set to heat? Puzzling.

I have the same issue as well. Only heat is set on and I can hear the outside ac fan kicking in sporadically.
