AC does not stay on to maintain temperature

Hello,

I installed a Google nest 3rd Gen thermostat when I bought the house in February. The device has not had any issues until I tried to use the AC. While in cooling mode it would turn the AC on briefly but then shut off never getting to the set temperature. I submitted a home warranty claim for the AC not working as there was no indication it was potentially the thermostat. The repairman came out and replaced the AC control board inside the furnace then went to leave. The Ac shut off again while he was still here. The repairman then replaced the nest thermostat with a basic device and now everything works fine. He said that he has encountered this issue before but it is very uncommon.

Can you post a picture of the original thermostat's wiring if you have it, and one of how the Nest base plate was wired?

Unfortunately I can't as the repairman has already replaced the device. He didn't have any issue with how it was wired though.
