Post pics of the original tstat wires and the Nest wiring you connected.

Do you have a heat pump, or a/c with gas heat system, or is it a AC only system?

Hi @Tagem,

I understand that your AC is running constantly, the "auto" setting isn't working as expected, and your home isn't reaching the cool temperatures you're used to. No worries, I’m happy to assist you.

To help me narrow this down and see if this is a thermostat setting or a system power issue, I have a few questions:

  • What is the exact model of your thermostat?
  • When did this start happening? Was it after a recent power outage, a change in weather, or any maintenance on your HVAC system?
  • Could you please share a photo of your thermostat's wiring?
  • Could you also share the power readouts from your thermostat? If your device is a Nest Thermostat you can find these on the device under Settings > Technical Info > Power (specifically looking for Battery, Voc, Vin, and Iin).

@Houptee, thanks for jumping in.

I’ll be waiting for your response.

Best regards,

Daniel
