Activate eco mode based on large area

I'm wanting to have my heating go to eco mode when I leave the city I live in. Ideally I would just do it when I leave the house but it takes too long to heat back up so I'd like to increase the geofencing area to include the whole city.

I thought I had it in a google routine but it looks like the max radius is 500m.

I've looked at Tasker and IfTTT but can't see how to trigger eco mode in either.

Is this possible?

Thanks for posting. I understand that you want to increase the range for the Home/Away detection to turn on the heat through the eco mode while you leave the house. In this case, changing the range for the eco mode is not an available feature.

You can check the "Learn about Eco Temperatures, Auto Eco, and How to Change Settings" article and the "Change Home & Away Routines settings" for detailed information about the settings that you can change.
